QUINTESSENTIALLY BRITISH.
For those looking for a real a ‘London’ experience, this is an amazing restaurant serving refined British food in a surprising and classy location.
This incredible restaurant is hidden within Borough Market, up what seems like a secret elevator. The venue overlooks the hustle & bustle of Borough Market and a few of the traditional London pubs. From the back room, you can even see the tube snake its way around the restaurant while you dine.

Personally, I have booked this restaurant when I’ve had friends or relatives visiting from abroad, and have even used it as a great place for business lunches and dinners. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and refined menu is always a hit with patrons of this restaurant.
The lunch and dinner menu serves a variety of British classics including Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes and Horseradish (£27). There is a variety of meat and fish dishes available as well as the daily specials. On Fridays, this is Roast Pilsner Battered Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas, Pickled Onion and Quail’s Egg (£23.50).

For the weekends they also have a tasty Saturday Brunch and a Sunday Lunch menu which offers 3 stellar courses for £37.50 per person. From the name of this restaurant, I’m sure you have gathered that the humble British roast is taken to new levels in this refined atmosphere.
If you are feeling indulgent then Roast is a great place to go as they always deliver high-quality dishes that are expertly executed. In this price range there may be more gastronomically exciting restaurants in London. But for me, Roast has a quintessentially British feel and particularly worth a visit when entertaining international friends.
